Abstract
PURPOSE: A catalytic reactor in which neither the biassed flow of gas nor the increase in ventilation loss takes place.
CONSTITUTION: In the catalyst-packed layer 2, a plurality of rectifying plates 5 are provided vertically and along in the direction of gas flow, having a V-shaped tip portion whose wide part is the gas inlet 3 side and whose narrow part is the gas outlet 4 side. Thus, in the reactor 1 provided with the rectifying plates 5 in such a solid manner in its narrow space, the biassed flow of gas can be eliminated and hence the performance of the reactor can be raised, and at the same time, because dust can be removed from gas before the inflow of gas into the catalyst-packed layer 2, in case where gas to be treated contains dust, the increase in the ventilation loss in the catalyst-packed layer 2 can be suppressed to the greatest extent.
