Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the title fluophor by attaching a raw material being turned into a red pigment on baking to a red luminescent fluophor and then carrying out baking to effect firm bording of the pure pigment to the fluophor.
CONSTITUTION: The objective fluophor can be manufactured by attaching to a red luminescent fluophor a raw material of red pigments, such as ferric hydroxide, hydrated iron oxide, tri-iron tetroxide, ferrous plosphate, or ferric phosphate, followed by carrying out baking in the range of temperatures pref. between 300W 600°C. Said red luminescent fluophor to be used should be invariant in its characteristics under baking process, being, e.g., Y2O2S:Eu, Y2O3:Eu, YVO4. As a preferable example of manufacturing a color cathode ray tube, the following process is recommended: a red fluophor dot or stripe is produced on the fluoresent screen of a color cathode ray tube using a raw material-attached fluophor and then subjected to frit baking at 380W450°C to turn the raw material into the corresponding pigment.
