Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve earthquake-proof properties while simplifying ventilation structure, and to heighten cooling efficiency, by arranging a slat for restricting the horizontal movement of a stator frame into a pit while forming a ventilation flue.
CONSTITUTION: A slat 35 is desposed in such a manner that it is horizontally distributed into a pit 12 of a foundation 11 and the end portions are fixed to the side-walls of the pit. The slat 35 is fastened to the lowermost portion of an outer circumferential surface of a stator frame 13 by means of bolts 36, is free in motion of the up-and-down directions of the stator frame 13 because it has low rigidity and is limited by rigidity in movement in the axial direction. A ventilation flue 36 is made up by surrounding by means of the slat 36 and the stator frame 13. When a rotor ventilating fan 33 revolves, gas pressurized flows as shown in the arrow head, and gas in a cavity 37 passes through the ventilation flue 36 and is guided into admission chambers 20. Thus, horizontal motion is restricted, the effect of earthquake-proof is not damaged, the ventilation structure of the stator frame can be simplified and cooling efficiency can be improved.
