Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure reduction for the excessive variation of the control signal in the plant control system by securing the following for the stand-by unit to the control unit with a time delay and then switching the control unit to the stand-by unit in case some fault occurs.
CONSTITUTION: Change-over switches 13a and 13b are turned toward A, along with switches 14a, 14e and 14d closed and switches 14b, 14c, 14f and 14g opened each. Output (a) of plant control unit 6 is supplied to stand-by unit 20 via signal delay unit 18 and switch 14e, and thus the output is turned to the following signal with a time delay. When fault detection device 23 detects the fault, switches 14a and 14e are opened with switch 14b closed. As a result, control signal 7 to be given to plant 8 is switched instantaneously to the commend value of device 20 from that of unit 6 of the fault detection time. After this, the command value of unit 20 is held as control signal 7 of plant 8.
