Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform a serial extraction of the converting action and the conversion data by setting the initial state of the timing signal based on the start signal of the A/D conversion and then carrying out the converting action based on the timing signal.
CONSTITUTION: Start conversion signal SC, i.e., the A/D conversion start command signal is supplied to reset signal output part 1, where reset pulse RS is generated with the rise of signal SC used as the standard time. Based on this pulse, the generation timing is decided singularly for the active clock pulse within the converter. Thus the initia state is decided for the clock pulse of timing signal generation part 2. Based on this output, control logic circuit 3 gives control via the switch network to the divided voltage which is supplied to comparator 5 from voltage division circuit 4. A comparsion is then given between analog input voltage A and the selection standard voltage given from logic circuit 3, and the digital output is changed into the serial output through output control part 6.
