Abstract

PURPOSE: To close a valve independently of the magnitude of reverse pressure as set, by applying a swinging force to the valve through a cam mechanism having a speed control driver in such a direction as to close the valve and providing a resetting mechanism for the cam mechanism and the valve.
CONSTITUTION: When the valve 9 is opened, a valve closing force is stored in an actuation mechanism 12 and a cam 13 is rotated by a connecting shaft 24 and a turning force is stored in the helical spring 21 of the speed control driver 14 formed as a spring-type timer. When a check valve 4 is open and a pump 3 is stopped due to electrical power failure or stopped with the closing of a control valve, the operation of the speed control driver 14 is started because of the fall in the pressure of conveyed fluid on the valve 9 to swing the cam 13 at a set speed. At that time, the valve 9 is closed at a set low speed by its own weight and the force of the actuation mechanism 12 while the swing of the valve is restricted by the cam 13.
