Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain porous catalysts having very large pore radius by molding short fibers of asbestos consisting of hornblende-based asbestos mineral as main constituent.
CONSTITUTION: Short fibrous asbestos consisting of hornblende-based asbestos mineral as main constituent, is finely pulverized and molded. The catalysts thus obtained are generally porous and have very large pore radius as compared with those produced from starting materials obtained by cutting mechanically long fibrous asbestos.
