Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a unit of low height and simple structure whose mechanical precision is unneeded by arranging several elastic arms radically, by providing contact parts to respective tips of the arms and by measuring the deformation value of each arm electrically.
CONSTITUTION: Base 1 has support 2, a fixture part, on which arms 3 are arranged and fixed radically and symmetrically. At the tip of each arm 3, pivot 5, a contact part, is projecting to support stabilized pan 6. To top and reverse sides of each arm 3, two strain gauges 7 each are stuck. Those four converting elements are bridge- coupled to form load cell part 8 which generates an electric signal equivalent to a load. Electric signals from four load cell parts 8 are passed through a regulator and analog-to-digital converter and displayed by way of an adder. The balance of this constitution should only be flat and as high as the sum of arm 3 and load pan 6, and consequently the constitution is simple without mechanical precision.
