Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize dead time, by resetting a timer or a pulse counter when the value of a measuring time setting register which counts the pulses of a rotational frequency sensor or a vehicle speed sensor mounted on a crankshaft or a propeller shaft. CONSTITUTION:A pulse output circuit is provided. This circuit comprises an output register group 474 having a resistor 432 which holds the speed of a vehicle and a register 430 which holds the revolution speed of an engine, and an instantaneous register group 472 which holds the instantaneous status of the engine or the like. A pertinent register is selected from the output register group 474 by an address pulse signal 164 supplied from a central processing unit. Held data are supplied from the selected register to the central processing unit by data pulses 162. The data of the instantaneous register group 472 and the output register group 474 are compared with those of a reference register group 470 by a comparator 480 and set in comparison register groups 502, 504.
