Abstract
PURPOSE: To show steric design effect, by forming a nonelectroconductive resist coating of large size pattern on a metal plate such as bright copper-plated steel plate, and by copper-plating the no resist portion of the plate in a copper-plating bath to deposit a fine irregular pattern.
CONSTITUTION: On a metal plate 1 made of, e.g., copper or steel, is formed a nonelectroconductive resist coating 6 of a large size pattern by screen printing etc. Then the portion where no resist coating 6 is formed is electroplated with copper coating 7 of fine irregular pattern by use of a copper plating bath contg. addn. agents such as amines or an ampholytic surface active agent. Then, with the resist coating either removed or remained, a colored layer 8 is made by chemical coloring or by plating with different kind of metals, if necessary, acrylonitrile type clear coating 9 is further applied. The product is used for construction use such as doors or interior parts, vessels, decoratives such as pendants.
