Abstract
PURPOSE: The title device having a large waste heat recovery capacity, designed to reduce the production cost, capable of being miniaturized, wherein coke is cooled by a gas at the high-temperature part, and then by a spraying water to recover the heat with a boiler.
CONSTITUTION: Red-hot coke at about 1100°C is fed from the bucket 28 into the gas cooling unit 1 via the inlet 2. Cooling gas is blown from the outlet 4 into the unit 1 by the circulating fan 9 to cool the coke, fed to the waste heat recovery boiler 8 to heat the water in the boiler via the duct 7, cooled, and fed from the fan 9 into the unit 1. A required amount of coke is fed from the slide gate to the quenching unit 11, and sprayed with water from the spray pipe by driving the circulating pump 20. Fine coke is removed from the heated water, which is fed from the pipeline 19 to the boiler 8 to heat the water in the boiler 8, and returned to the unit 11.
