Abstract

PURPOSE: To remarkably improve the adjustment of a temperature measuring resistor, which is made of a Pt-Co alloy effective in a remarkably low temperature range, by adjusting the resistance for a heat treatment time.
CONSTITUTION: Two lead wires 2 are welded to one end of a cylindrical glass spool 1 formed with double parallel grooves 1a. Then, a temperature sensitive element wire 3 is welded to one end 2a of the wires 2, and one end of the wire 3 is welded to the spool 1. After that, the wire 3 is wound on the grooves 1a and has its terminal end 3a welded to the spool 1. The temperautre measuring resistor thus prepared has its resistnce adjusted by the use of the fact that there is a preset relationship between the heat treatment time by the annealing for working strain removal and the change in the resistance. After that, the potion of the spool 1, on which the wire 3 is not wound, is cut away and is covered with a thermally shrinking tube 4. Then, a lead wire 5 has its bent point 5a connected with the wires 2 and is wholly covered with a thermally shrinking tube 4b. The spool 1 thus prepared is inserted into a metal capsule 6, and a seal member 8 is fitted between a metal cap 7 to be mounted and the capsule 6.
