Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable an efficient manufacturing of two types of caissons, a first one of which is an L-shaped caisson ship part being used at the deep depth, and a second one of which is a U-shaped caisson ship part being used at the shallow depth, by dividing a ship having a longitudinal partition into both sides.
CONSTITUTION: A main part of a ship is cut and divided into both sides along a ship center line R-R, and each ship's side is cut along a cutting line S-S. A ship bottom part 5a of one of two L-shaped caissons obtained in such a manner as mentioned above is cut along a line T-T for removal, and then, a U-shaped caisson ship part 6, which includes a lower half part 1b of a ship's side outer plate, a ship bottom part 5b and a lower half part 2b of a longitudinal partition, is obtained. Furthermore, an L-shaped caisson ship part 4 including a upper half part 1a of the ship's side outer plate, a upper half part 2a of the longitudinal partition, and a half wide part 3a of a upper deck is obtained as a result of welding the cut and removed ship bottom part 5a along the cutting line S-S of the other L-shaped caisson.
