Abstract
PURPOSE: To discriminating and inspecting influenza highly sensitivity according to the germ and type peculiarities through the latex coaggulating reaction by coupling the S antigen of the influenza virus to a special polystyrene latex.
CONSTITUTION: The influenza S antigen is separated and purifed from the virus billion coming from the urine liquid of the influenza virus which is cultivated in an incubative eff. The S antigen is added in the same quantity to the solution, in which the polystyrene latex having a specific weight higer than 1.14 and a size larger than 0.91μ is floating in the PBS, thereby to prepare the sensitized latex. This latex is suspended in a reserved liquid and stored in an ice room. Then, the latex can be reserved by being free-dried together with the medium containing a protecting agent. With the use of this sensitized latex, the serum of a patient can be discriminated without any pretreatment using the serum in the carrier with the sensitivity of 100 to 1000 times that of the conventional method for about 10 hours by the microtiter method.
