Abstract
PURPOSE: Title composition that contains a variety of metal compounds as well as a variety of bases and acids, thus showing synergistic effect on various kinds of injurious bacteria in agri- and horticultures.
CONSTITUTION: Said composition contains, as effective ingredients, (A) a metal compound as cupric hydroxide, zinc chloride, magnesium oxide, manganese carbonate, copper acetate, 8-hydroxyquinoline aluminum, (B) hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, acetic acid, succinic acid, potassium hydroxide, magnesium sulfate, manganese carbonate and potassium citrate. When the component B is alkaline, the alkali shows bactericidal effect and simultaneously retards the dissociation of the metal ion in component A to develop the gradual effect, thus being used as a soil treating agent for Damping-off of cucumber. When the component B is acidic, the compound of component B is rapidly dissociated and suitably used as a germicide for seeds.
