Abstract
PURPOSE: To correct automatically picture quality according to an input electric field, by complementarily controlling gains of the high frequency component and low-frequency component of a video signal by an AGC voltage according to the input electric field.
CONSTITUTION: When video signal (a) is inputted to input terminal 12, an out-of-phase signal (b) generated through load resistance R1 of transistor TrQ1 is applied to the base of TrQ4 and its low-frequency component only is outputted via coil L2 of the emitter. Its high-frequency component is differentiating twice by differentiating circuits 13 and 14 of TrQ2 to obtain signal (c), which is added to signal (b), so that picture-quality correction signal (b) with a pre-overshoot given to the variable part for the video signal of the low-frequency component will appear at output terminal 15. In case of a weak electric field, since an AGC voltage applied to the base of TrQ2 falls, a current through TrQ2 decreases, but because TrQ3 serves as a constant-current supply, a current through TrQ1 increases and the gain of the low-frequency component also increases, thereby outputting signal (h) to terminal 15. In case of an intense electric field, the current of TrQ2 increases to increase the gain of the high frequency component while the gain of the low-frequency component lowers to the contrary, thereby outputting signal (l).
