Abstract

PURPOSE: To know tape sensitivity easily by driving a meter, etc., by using a data input equivalent to the gain compensation value of a recording amplifier.
CONSTITUTION: By a four-bit control signal from control circuit 11 to the recording amplifier, 16-step display is performed and when tape sensitivity is considered to be excellent with a compensation value of (0.0.0.0.)2, transistors Q1 to Q4 all turn OFF to apply the highest voltage among 16 steps to meter 18, so that its maximum deflection will be caused. When tape sensitivity is low with (1.1.1.1.)2, transistors Q1 to Q4 all turn OFF to apply the lowest voltage to meter 18, so that its minimum deflection will be caused. Consequently, tape sensitivity can be found at a look.
