Abstract
PURPOSE: To keep dust within the poultry house by means of a shower nozzle for spraying water into the air stream in a ventilation duct.
CONSTITUTION: A ventilation duct 5 having an opening 8 at the top of the roof 4 is surrounded by a hood 9 so as to avoid direct in and out flow of air between the opening and the outside. The duct 5 whose cross-section is square or rectangular in shape is provided on two or four sides with an opening adapted to be opened or closed by an air dirction controlling plate 7. In the ventilation duct thus arranged, a shower nozzle 13 is provided to spray water to incoming air. This helps adjust the humidity in the poultry house while provides a cooling effect in the summer. A filter provided in the course of the duct 5 allows removal of dust in the air as the air passes through the filter after sprayed with water.
