Abstract
PURPOSE:To impart torque effectively by providing an intermediate clutch between the driving and driven sides of the clutch. CONSTITUTION:When the electromagnet 18 is excited, the intermediate part 14 is attracted to the driving side of clutch, the disc face 17 bends the rubber 15 in the axial direction and presses it against the face 7 to transmit the rotation of clutch 5 to the part 14. The part 14 bends the rubber in the turning direction and presses the ball 24 against the slope of concave 23. Thus the ball imparts torque to the driven part 10 of clutch. Since a component of the force in the axial direction at the contacting point of the ball with the concave acts as a force that presses the part 14 against the part 15, a greater torque can be provided even though the magnetic force is less.
