Abstract

PURPOSE: The captioned device which comprises connecting a hopper provided with electric heaters and a mixer and which makes possible stable supplying of sand.
CONSTITUTION: Casting sand 15 such as silica sand is filled in a hopper 5 lined with heat insulating material 4 and is heated to about 110°C with bar-form electric heaters 6. While hot sand is being fed to a screw mixer 8, hot water and binder correponding to 2% thereof are injected through respective feed ports 11, 12 and the mixture is kneaded. The resultant paste is charged through discharge port 13 into a casting frame 16. Whem this is hardened through air drying, the casting mold is formed.
