Abstract
PURPOSE: To vaporize the fuel effectively by vaporizing the fuel with a ceramic heater havin a positive resistance temperature characteristic and the curie point at a particular temperature and which generates heat uppon being supplied with electric current and by controlling the current flow in accordance with the warming condition of the engine.
CONSTITUTION: When the intermal combustion engine 1 is started with a key switch closed, if the coolant temperature is low, the signal output by an engine warming-up detector 13 acts through an amplifier 14 on a relay 15 so as to supply current to the coil 15a of the relay 15 and to close the relay contact 15b provided in the current flow circuit of a ceramic heater 4. Thereby, the ceramic heater 4 is impressed with the total voltage to produce the maximum heat, thereby promoting the vaporization of the liquid fuel. When the coolant temperature rises enough and the warming up is accomplished, the relay contact 15b is opened, the heater 4 is supplied with current through a resistance 16 reducing the heat generation of the heater 4, and thus excess vaporization of the fuel as well as excess enriching of the mixture can b prevented.
