PURPOSE:To prevent glow of flash discharge tube, by stopping the oscillation motion of DC-DC converter circuit for an arbitrary period in relation to the emission of flash discharge tube by means of amplifier power source generation circuit and control circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a power source switch 2 is closed, a DC-DC converter circuit 3 starts to oscillate, and charging of main discharge capacitor 7 is started, and capacitors 11, 15 are charged at the same time. Afterwards, charging of main discharge capacitor 7 advances until reaching a specified value. At this state, when a trigger circuit 8 is operated, a flash discharge tube 9 emits light. At this time, the charged charge in the capacitor 15 is supplied to a control circuit 18. Therefore, charging of capacitor 20 is started and a transistor 22 and then another transistor 24 are made to conduct, and the DC-DC converter circuit 3 stops oscillation. Thus, the glow of flash discharge tube may be prevented.
