Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the separation of paper from fixing roll, by selecting the surface effective hardness of the elastic body layer so as to be fixing roll ≤ pressurizing roll.
CONSTITUTION: Rubber layers of the same 0.75mm thickness are provided on a fixing roll and a pressurizing roll, and the heat response to the metal roll and rubber layer roll is improved, while maintaining the equivalent contact width, and increasing the effective hardness of the pressurizing roll by setting the hardness of pressurizing roll higher, i.e. JISA 45° for the pressurizing roll as compared with JISA 25° for the fixing roll, an excellent separation is obtained. Thus, by selecting the relation between the fixing roll and pressurizing roll to establish the relation of effective hardness of fixing roll ≤ effective hardness of pressurizing roll, the pressurizing roll bites into the fixing roll, so that the separation of paper may be enhanced.
