Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the method of controlling many axes by independent control, on the basis of either of two basic axes, over the other.
CONSTITUTION: With two-axis NC1 performing processing in terms of two basic axes X and Y, uniaxial NC2 controlling the Z-axis on the basis of the X-axis of this NC1 and uniaxial NC3 controlling an axis slanting by angle θ from the X-axis are both coupled. Through the program, XY-axis data, XZ-axis data and Xθ-axis data are generated and supplied to NC1WNC3 via change-over circuit 5. As a result, motors 10W13 work to put the tool in determined motion. On the basis of either of two basic axes, the motion of each axis can independently be programmed and it is easy to increase the number of additional axes exercising control for the basic axes.
