Abstract
PURPOSE:To deflect the flow of a fluid of an air conditioner or the like in a wide angle without receiving resistance, by providing a fluid control plate which has a large radius of curvature and is swingably supported on a wall parallel to the plate and by providing a bias section having an wall adhered to the upper side. CONSTITUTION:When a control plate 5 is swung in such a direction as to go away from a bias section 7 to cause downward blowing, a flow F is oriented downward by the bias section 7 and extends along the control plate 5. The flow flows along the control plate closely contacting therewith due to the Coanda effect between the control plate 5 and the flow so that the flow flows to a tangential direction on the control plate 5 and is deflected at an angle theta. When the control plate is moved toward the bias section 7 to cause horizontal flow, the flow is once oriented to downward by the bias section 7 but is reariented to the horizontal direction by the control plate 5. At that time, the flow adheres to an upper wall 8 due to the Coanda effect between the flow and the wall 8 so that the horizontal flow is finally generated. Since the Coanda effect is utilized, the resistance against the flow is low and a large deflection angle can be set.
