Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to measure easily deformation of a vehicle body without setting accurately the body to a measurement part, by moving a laser light relatively to the damaged body to irradiate the laser light to the damaged body and by collating the result obtained by measuring the depth with undamaged body date.
CONSTITUTION: Moving frame 4 is so provided that it can be moved in X and Y directions by motors 9 and 13 and so on. Laser optical stand 19 is fitted to frame 4 so that it can be moved in the frame by motor 18 and so on. If a concave exists as shown by (a) in the figure when a laser light is irradiated, it appears on screen 24 as movement of (b) in the figure. Consequently, a damaged car is fixed by clamp unit 26, and frame 4 is moved onto the outside circumference of check point P, and next, the laser light is irradiated to obtain damaged body data and this data is collated with undamaged body data, and a part where curves dependent upon data do not agree with each other partially is regarded as a deformed part. As a result, deformation measurement can be performed easily without setting the body accurately to the measurement part.
