Abstract
PURPOSE: To transfer a fragile article such as unglazed roof tile between an incoming conveyor and an outgoing conveyor disposed at a right angle without deforming the article by providing a seat elevationally moving by a linkage supported at a turntable at the intersection of the conveyors.
CONSTITUTION: A turntable 5 is rotatably supported by a pivotal shaft 17 at the center of the intersection of an incoming conveyor 1 and an outgoing conveyor 2 disposed at right angle at the ends approaching each other on the extended lines of both the conveyors 1 and 2, and the ends are confronted at right angle each other at a frame 8 stood on the turntable 5 with four horizontal shafts 9 connected via bevel gears each other. When one shaft 9 is rotated through a chain 19 and a sprocket 11 by a rocking mechanism 12, four shafts 9 thus connected are simultaneously rotated to raise the seat 16 for the roof tile A mounted through links 13, 14. The seat 16 is introduced between two cables 3 of both the conveyors 1 and 2 to load or unload the roof tile A therebetween.
