Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a specific gravity detector which is compact, accurate, and vibration-proof by covering a detection electrode with an insulating material whose side is provided with a small hole leading to the detection electrode and also providing a ring-shaped float on the periphery of the insulating material. CONSTITUTION:The detection electrode 1 of a metal is incorporated in the stopper body 2, e.g., a liquid mouth stopper, etc., and its periphery is covered with the insulating material 3 of a synthetic resin, etc., the side of which is provided with the small hole 4 leading to the detection electrode 1. Also, the periphery of the insulating material 3 is provided with the ringlike float 8 in a freely and vertically movable manner, having such a function that it can float or sink according to the deviation of the specific gravity of the electrolyte from a fixed value.
