Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the breakage at a bonded position by giving a larger compressive stress, in a broad sense, to the nearer place to the outer periphery of an elastic endless body obtained by bonding the front and rear end surfaces of an elastic beltlike body to each other.
CONSTITUTION: The elastic beltlike body 12 composed of a sponge belt or the like is wound on an endless base 11 and bonded thereto, while the front and rear end parts thereof being bonded to each other, and thus an elastic endless body 10 having soft surface of the outer periphery and employed for a rush-harvesting machine and the like is obtained. On the occasion, both ends of the elastic beltlike body 12 are bonded in such a manner that the cutting angle of one end thereof is larger than the angle of the other so that the nearer to the outer periphery of the bonded place B, the more slackened is the body 12. When the elastic endless body 10 is wound round a group of pulleys and employed, the nearer place to the outer periphery of the belt can endure the larger tensile stress caused by a bent at the group of pulleys.
