Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture the ink jet head with good productivity by bonding a plate provided with a plurality of flowpath grooves for the head in a plane to other plate and thereafter cutting the plate thus bonded. CONSTITUTION:On a ray material glass base plate 14 forming a number of glass base plates 16 partitioned by broken lines 15 there are formed flowpath grooves 210 each of which is formed by an ink feed chamber 20, an ink pressure chamber 17, an ink passage-way 18 and a nozzle 19 so that adjacent nozzles 19 and ink feed chambers 20 and 20 of the glass base plate 16 form borders, and the junction part of the feed chambers 20 are connected by means of a number of grooves 22 except ridges 21. Then, on the glass plate 14 there is bonded a raw material vibrating glass plate of a substantially same planar configuration, and piezo elements are bonded to respective parts facing the pressure chambers 17, and thereafter the vibrating glass plate is cut along the broken lines 15 of the glass plate 14.
