Abstract
PURPOSE: To automatically perform the threading of continuous recording paper in the conveying path of recording paper through the transfer part, fixing part and discharging means by holding the recording paper between a pair of endless chains disposed by encircling the foregoing conveying path.
CONSTITUTION: In order to pass continuous recording paper 1 in the conveying path of the recording paper 1 through a transfer part 3, fixing part 15 and discharging means 16, a pair of the endless chains 23 set parallel at a spacing larger than the width of the recording paper 1 is run on the closed loop encircling said conveying path. The leading end of the recording paper 1 is mounted to the gripping member 33 provided to part of the endless chain pair 23 across both chains. The passage of the gripping member 33 carrying the recording paper 1 is detected by the limit switches 34, 35, 36 provided along the closed loop. The detection signals of these limit switches control the travelling of the endless chain pair 23 by way of control parts 37, 38, whereby the threading operation of the recording paper 1 is accomplished automatically.
