Abstract

PURPOSE: To automate loading for the pallet by a method wherein a stand-by zone is connected to a taking-out zone of a conveyor, and a nipping-transferring device which moves three-dimensionally for loading the pallet with loads on the stand-by zone is arranged between the stand-by zone and a pallet station.
CONSTITUTION: Upon arrival of the load N at the taking-out zone 3 of a conveyor 1, and a pneumatic cylinder 7 is stretched by a detector, and the load N is transferred to the stand-by zone 4 by a pushout frame 9. When a sensor detects that a predetermined number (form example, three) of loads N have been transferred to the stand-by zone 4 sequentially, the loads N are clamped by a pair of nipping members 24 of the nipping-transferring device 14 having descended to a position above the zone 4. The device 14 is then raised, moved to the side of a pallet P, and the loads N are put on the pallet P on a truck. After loading the pallet P with a predetermined number of stages of the loads N by similar procedures, the truck 12 is moved sideways to carry out the pallet P.
