Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to control a fine current of approximate 10-9A by using a MOS transistor as a current control transistor and by detecting a current supplied to a load by an operational amplifier.
CONSTITUTION: The circuit of the constant current supply consists of MOS transistor Q1 whose drain and source are connected in series to the current supply circuit of astable power supply 1, 1st operation amplifier IC1 and 2nd operational amplifier. Here, 1st operational amplifier IC1 outputs a voltage in proportion to a value of a current supplied to a load and its voltage gain is set by feedback resistance R1 to approximate 60dB. Further, 2nd operational amplifier IC2 compares the output voltage of IC1 with reference voltage VR of reference voltage source 2 to feedback the difference voltage to the gate of Q1 and the output of IC1 is connected to the inversion input via resistance. The current flowing to the load becomes a constant value equipvalent to VR and the channel length and channel width of Q1 is made long and narrow, thereby controlling a current in a fine-current region.
