Abstract

PURPOSE: Titled resin composition, excellent in flexibility and giving an accurate cured product in a silicone resin mold, which is composed of an unsaturated polyester obtained from a reaction of a specified polyhydric alcohol with a specified polybasic acid, and a vinyl monomer.
CONSTITUTION: A composition, composed of (A) 40W80wt% unsaturated polyester obtained from the reaction of (A) a polyhydric alcohol containing at least 80mol% diethylene glycol and at least 5 mol% trimethylolpropane, with (b) a polybasic acid containing 40W80mol% endomethylene-tetrahydrophthalic acid and at least 10mol% 16W21C unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, and (B) 60W20wt% vinyl monomer. Said diethylene glycol is considered to contribute to the flexibility of the cured product, and said trimethylolpropane as well as said endomethylenetetrahydrophthalic acid are considered to improve the drape of the resin for the silicone resin mold and the contribute to the impovement in the strength of the cured product.
