Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate fixing of a pad assembly, by inserting a pad pin which penetrates a caliper bridge through projections made on the upper end of back metals of a pair of pad assemblies and keeping the upper ends in contact with a disc groove on the calipers.
CONSTITUTION: A concave 17 is made on part of a disc groove 16 of a pair of calipers 11 and projections 18 made on the upper end of a back metals 12b, 13b of pad assemblies 12, 13 are put in the concave 17. A pad pin 20 penetrating a caliper bridge 19 is inserted through holes 21 of the projections 18 to support the pad assemblies 12, 13. Both shoulders 22, 23 of the pad assemblies 12, 13 are brought into touch with the disc groove 16 by both sides of the concave 17. The braking torque is accordingly absorbed by the pad pin 20 and the disc groove 16 of the calipers 11 with which the said shoulders 22, 23 of the pad assemblies 12, 13 are kept in contact.
