Abstract
PURPOSE: The reaction of an ε-aminocaproic ester with an O-substituted isourea is effected in the presence of water or an organic solvent to form high-purity title compound useful as a medicine with antikallikrein activity with econimical advantage in high yield.
CONSTITUTION: The reaction between an ε-aminocaproic ester of formula I (R is alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, which may be substituted) and an O-substituted isourea of formula II (R1 is the same as R or alkylene) is conducted in water or an organic solvent such as methanol, acetone, benzene or so, preferably at 30W60°C for 1W24hr, to form the compound of formula III. The conversion of the product into the acid adduct with an inorganic acid such as hydrochloric or nitric acid or organic acid such as benzenesulfonic or oxalic acid facilitates the separation and purification.
