Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve inspection efficiency and accuracy by automatically sorting only indefective tapping nuts contained in a hopper by putting a stop gauge support lever, pass guage support lever and selecting mchanism in interlocking operation, one by one, in sequence.
CONSTITUTION: Tapping nuts contained in hopper 2 are lowered in array through longitudinal chute 3 and supplied to lateral chute 4, one by one, in sequence from the lowermost one. Next, nuts 52 and 53 are pushed to positions of gauge support levers 14 and 15 by push rod 11 and stop gauge 50 and pass gauge 51 held at their tips are moved backward through gauge support levers 14 and 15 to check nuts 52 and 53. Defective articles are sorted by interlocking the sorting mechanism consisting of sliding spindles 28 and 29 holding in a slidable state memory metals 26 and 27 meeting electric contacts 37 and 38 and nut ejecting levers 43 and 44, etc., interlocking with them. Thus, defective articles can accurately and automatically be sorted with efficiency.
