Abstract
PURPOSE: To lower the manufacturing costs of turbine nozzle and to improve its accuracy, by manufacturing the most parts of turbine nozzle from a blank by way of machining.
CONSTITUTION: There is prepared an annular blank having outer diameter D1', width B' and inner diameter D2' corresponding to outer diameter D1, width B and inner diameter D2 of turbine nozzle. Such a blank is machined to have stator blades 1 which are shaped in a required configuration and arranged in a required positional relationship. Main body a of nozzle thus machined into a gear like an external helical gear and an outer nozzle ring 3 applied with solder on its inner surface are put together into a vacuum furnace for soldering the top of stator blades to the inner surface of outer nozzle ring 3. Then, nozzle a thus machined into a ring- like form is further machined so that it can be fitted in a partition plate. That is, it is formed into a ring-like nozzle b (as shown in the drawing) and divided into four sectors. On the other hand, said partition plate formed with grooves, into which outer and inner circumferential portions of nozzle b are to be inserted, is split into two parts, and said four nozzle sectors are inserted successively into the grooves formed in the half-split partition plate.
