Abstract
PURPOSE: To separate and remove copper in waste fluid effectively by means of simple operation by a method wherein soluble phosphoric acid and a coagulant as necessary are added to the waste fluid containing the copper and ammonia.
CONSTITUTION: Waste fluid, which preferably contains 1,000ppm Zn, SO4 2-, Na+, etc. besides 1,000ppm copper, 20,000ppm ammonia and whose pH after neutralization is 6.5W8.0, particularly, approximate 7W7.7, is disposed according to the following method. That is, soluble phosphoric acid (for example, ortho-phosphoric acid) in 0.03mol or more, particularly, 0.1mol or more, to 1g copper in the waste fluid and further a coagulant as necessary are added to the waste fluid. Thus, the copper foming complex salt by the ammonia can be precipitated and removed from the waste fluid by means of a simple means. When jointly using iron or Al salt as the coagulant, the quantity of the soluble phosphoric acid added is 0.01mol or more, particularly, 0.03mol or more, to 1g copper.
