Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively separate cladding from polluted ion exchange resin by a desalting treatment of condensed water in which cation exchange resin is immersed in an acid aqueous solution and then washed physically by supplying a gas for agitation into the acid aqueous solution.
CONSTITUTION: The slurry of polluted ion exchange resin is introduced into the regenerating tower 11 until it reaches a lower level of the acid supply tube 13. Then, the pressurized air valve 8 and the waste water drain valve 10 are opened to draw the water out of the tower 11, the acid inlet valve 3 and the vent valve 9 are opened and also the other valves are closed to supply an acid aqueous solution, and the resin is immersed in the acid aqueous solution. Then, the scrubbing air valve and the vent valve 9 are opened and the other valves closed to supply air from the air and water supply tube 12, claddings adhered to the resin are separated into the acid aqueous solution and then the acid aqueous solution is discharged. Then, the vent valve 2 and the washing water valve 7 are opened and the other valves are closed to supply water to the tower 11, and the valves 7 and 10 are opened and the other valves are closed to wash the acid adhered to the resin.
