Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the rated capacity of an auxiliary power supply inexpensively by setting low output voltage at the auxiliary power supply for operating a regulator controller and using the regulator output as a power supply for operating the controller. CONSTITUTION:Two switching transistors 4a, 4b forming a switching regulator is controlled on or off by a controller 8 operating while detecting the output voltage (for example, 7d) of the regulator. An auxiliary power supply 12a for generating lower voltage than the rated voltage reguired for the controller 8 and the regulator output having a voltage responsive to the rated voltage reguired for the controller 8 (for example, 7c) are employed for a power supply for operating the controller 8. The power supply for the controller 8 is connected through diodes 14, 15 to the controller 8, and the power of the output 7c is used except the starting time of the regulator.
