Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable high speed processing by executing the code edit, pattern processing and print processing parallelly, through the multi-layer architecture of edit and forming unit, the data transmission and reception between each layer from the internal memory provided on each layer, and transmission of instruction signal made between CPU of each layer.
CONSTITUTION: The edit and forming unit is taken as three layer arthitecture with the control sections 10, 20, 30 and the control sections 10, 20, 30 are provided with the micro CPUs 8, 18, 28 and internal memories 9, 19, 29 respectively. Further, the control section 10 is provided with the keyboard unit 1, interface 11 connecting the code memory 4 and pattern memory 5, and further, the control section 20 is provided with the one line display unit 2, interface 14 connected to the layout display unit 3, and memory 17 connected to CPU8 and memory 9 of the control section 10. Further, the control section 30 is provided with the interface 21 connected to the control section 20, the data transmission and reception among the sections 10, 20, 30 are made with the memories 9, 19, 29, and request, command, status the priority interruption of each instruction are delivered with CPUs 8, 18, 28.
