Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable measurement of the resistance of the armature of a motor of a motor generator immediately after a temperature rise test of the generator by exciting the stator and the rotor of the AC generator by DC in the motor generator and rapidly stopping the rotor at predetermined position.
CONSTITUTION: A generator 200 and a slip ring 300 are engaged with the same shaft of the armature of the motor of a motor generator. The armature and the field of the generator 200 in the motor generator are energized by a DC power supply 1 to magnetically attract between the armature and the field to abruptly stop the armature. Then, the armature 100 is energized by the power supply 1 to measure the resistance of the armature of the motor from the relationship in terms of the voltage and the current thereof.
