Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the rubber hoses which are liable to be damaged by movement of the cover and simplify the device by letting an air feed pipe which communicates and connects at one end to the cover member of the mold molding device and is protrusively provided with the other end opening outward move upward so that it is communicated and connected to the upper stationary connecting pipe.
CONSTITUTION: When a pattern plate 6 is moved upward, a molding flask 12 is placed thereon and is moved upward. It is stopped when superposed and placed with a build-up flask 13. Next, a cover member 20 which is open at the bottom surface above a roller conveyor 19 is moved laterally from the opposing above of the plate 6 and molding sand is packed into the flasks 12, 13. After the member 20 is moved to right above the flask 13, the member 20 is placed on the flask 13 by the reascening of the plate 6 and the top end opening face 26 of an air feed pipe 24 is pressure-contacted to the bottom end opening face 29 of a connecting pipe 28 by way of a sealing member 30. As a result of this, the pipes 24, 28 are airtightly communicated, connected and stopped. Following to this, compressed air is flowed into the flasks 12, 13 through pipes 33, 28, 24 and lower chamber 23 and is flowed toward small holes 8, whereby the sand is solidified.
