Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise the sound pressure level of the low sound band without lowering of the sound pressure of high and middle sound bands, by providing a partition plate in the box where a speaker is fitted and by incorporating a passive radiator into the partition plate. CONSTITUTION:In case that force F applied to speaker 9 is a low frequency, mass of the vibration system becomes mass obtained by adding mass m0 of the vibration system of speaker 9 and mass m of the vibration system of passive radiator 12 when compliance CA1 of the back volume of speaker 9 is small and can be ignored. In case that force F is a middle or high frequency, mass of the vibration system becomes only mass m0 of the vibration system of speaker 9 when compliance CA1 cannot be ignored. Consequently, the sound pressure in the low sound band can be raised by determining properly compliance CA1 and mass m of passive radiator 12.
