Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the separation, cob-webbing, and filament breakage, by passing a spun yarn (S) through the hollow part of a filament yarn pirn to double the yarns while wrapping the filament yarn acround S. CONSTITUTION:The spun yarn 1 is withdrawn from the cheese 2, passed from the guide 3 through the axial hollow 6 of the pirn 5 wherein the filament yarn 4 is wound. The filament yarn 4 is withdrawn from the pirn 5, doubled with the yarn 1, and passed through the guide 7. The filament yarns 4' unwound from the pirn 5 produces the turn in the direction opposite to the winding one, and is wrapped around and doubled with the spun yarn 1' while being turned about the axis of the yarn 1' after the hollow 6. The doubled yarn 2'' and yarn 4'' are passed through the guide 8, rolls 9 and 10, and wound onto the cheese 12 while being traversed by the rotary drum 11.
