Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to excite the saturable magnetic core sufficiently into saturable state without decreasing the accuracy of detection, by narrowing the width locally with the notch for the saturable magnetic core and decreasing the magnetic resistance of the magnetic circuit with auxiliary magnetic core.
CONSTITUTION: The saturated magnetic cores 46, 47 are mounted and fixed between the legs 50, 51 of the magnetic yoke 43 constituting the magnetic head 40. These saturable magnetic cores 46, 47 are constituted by sticking the thin plate ferromagnetic plate 58 such as permalloy to the insulating reinforcing plate 59 made of ceramic and winding the detecting coil 60. The notches 61, 62 are formed on the way of lengthwise direction of the ferromagnetic plate 58 to locally narrower the width. Further, the auxiliary magnetic cores 63, 64 are mounted and fixed on the upper surface of the both ends except the notches 61, 62. Thus, the cores are excited into saturable state with small bias signal and low power consumption can be made without lowering the accuracy of detection.
