Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent deterioration of sensitivity and increase of residual potential, by adding a specified electron acceptor to the barrier layer of a lamination type electrophotographic receptor.
CONSTITUTION: A 0.1W10μ thick barrier layer consisting mianly of a resin binder (polyethylene, polyester, or so), a 0.01W2μ thick charge generating layer consisting mainly of an organic pigment type charge generating agent (Sudan Red, Argol Yellow, or so), and a 5W30μ thick charge transfer layer containing a charge transfer agent (maleic anhydride, hexamethylenediamine, or so) and a resin binder are successively laminated on an electroconductive substrate to form the title photoreceptor, and in the barrier layer a substance having an electron affinity of 0.7eV or more and high electron acceptivity such as 2-bromo-6,8-dinitro-4H-indeno[1,2-b] thiophen-4-one is added to the resin binder by 0.01W2wt% based on this.
