Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a grouting material having low strength when hardened compared with a cement-based grouting material and optimum strength to apply to a face, and suitable for tunnelling work, etc., by mixing limes having particle sizes of smaller than a specific value with a silicate at a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: A grouting material obtained by mixing (A) 3W97wt% of limes (e.g. slaked lime, calcined dolomite, etc.) having a max. particle diameter of ≤30μ with (B) 97W3wt% of a silicate (e.g. slags, fly ash, etc.) having a max. particle diameter of ≤30μ. Addition of 0.01W1wt% of metallic aluminum powder improves the dispersing effect. The powdering of the components A and B is pref. carried out in the presence of a polyhydric alcohol and/or ethanolamine. The grouting material is pref. applied to the face, etc. together with an aqueous solution of water glass to adjust the gel time.
