Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the production efficiency and the inspection yield of the product, by inserting the material bloom to be the inner layer into the tubular body to be the outer layer, by giving stretch-reduction to this assembly, and by applying the blooming to obtain the rod blank.
CONSTITUTION: The material bloom 2 is inserted into the tubular body 1, and the reducing work is applied to this assembly; after that, the assembly is cold treated by stretch-reduction to form the laminated bloom 3. This bloom 3 is heated to specified temperatures, is hot rolled by the steel ingot blooming mill, and is formed into the laminated billet. This billet is sent to the rol manufacturing process and is formed into the laminated steel rod of required specifications, like as the shape, rod, bar, etc., of steel. According to this method, since the parent metal and the clad metal are perfectly tight contacting at the stage of the bloom 3, the perfect metallurgical bonding can be obtained from top to bottom after undergoing the hot rolling pass.
